Common questions about executive and leadership coaching
Still have questions?
What is executive coaching, and what is it for?
Executive coaching is a personalized development process that helps executives develop their leadership approach, look at the professional challenges they face from different angles and define concrete steps toward their goals. Rather than handing out ready-made answers, the coach uses powerful questions, observations and structured exercises to make room for the executive to shape their own solutions.
What topics can executive coaching help with?
Executive coaching can cover topics such as leadership approach, team management, delegation, feedback, difficult conversations, strategic thinking, decision-making, stakeholder management, influence and adapting to a new leadership role. The coaching agenda is shaped around the executive’s goals and needs.
How many sessions does executive coaching take?
The length of a coaching process varies with your goals and the topics you work on. The number of sessions, their frequency and the estimated duration of the process are set together after the introductory call and coach matching. Goals and progress are reviewed regularly throughout the process.
How much does executive coaching cost?
Executive coaching fees can vary depending on the coach selected, the number of sessions, the scope of the process and any assessment tools used. After the introductory call, we transparently share the process and pricing that fit your needs.
How do you choose the right executive coach?
When choosing the right coach, professional coaching training and competence matter, but so do the coach’s corporate experience, areas of expertise, working language and the relationship of trust you build with them. At T!NK, we assess your needs and expectations and match you with the right professional coach.
Is online executive coaching effective?
Yes. Online coaching makes it easier to meet regularly wherever you are and to work with the coach who suits you. Sessions are live and one-on-one, and the process is supported by goals, practice and regular reviews.
Is what’s discussed in coaching sessions confidential?
Yes. We conduct our coaching in accordance with the ICF Code of Ethics, grounded in trust, confidentiality, transparency and professional responsibility. Information shared in sessions is kept confidential under the terms set out in the coaching agreement and in line with professional ethical standards. The scope of confidentiality and its exceptions are explained clearly before the process begins.
What is the difference between coaching, mentoring and consulting?
Coaching makes room for a person to build their own awareness and create their own solutions. A mentor shares suggestions and guidance drawn from their own experience, while a consultant offers solutions and advice based on their expertise. Which approach fits your needs can be assessed together during the introductory call.
